This will allow you to tailor your content toward a specific group of people that are interested in what you have to offer. Whether you sell products or services, this is such an important step to creating a marketing strategy that will actually work!
Here are 3 questions to ask yourself if you want to find your ideal audience.
This is the perfect place to start your journey towards finding your ideal audience because your current customers already love what you do! Analyze your customer base to find characteristics and behaviors that are shared throughout the group. Do they have any common interests? Are their lifestyles similar?
Now it’s time to analyze your competitor’s customer base. This time, try to determine how that customer base is similar or different to your own customer base. For example, if you notice that your competitor’s customers tag them in social media photos consistently but your own customers forget to tag you, this is a perfect opportunity to change your messaging and marketing strategy!
You’ve done the research to see who your audience truly is, but do you have a dream audience in mind? Maybe your dream audience and your current customer base are the same. If so, that’s amazing! If not, you can use this knowledge to influence your marketing decisions going forward. You’ll want to choose marketing methods that speak directly to those individuals.
