5 Ways to Celebrate Small Business Saturday as a Small Biz Owner

Small Business Saturday is coming up on November 26, 2022, so I’ve come up with 5 ways to help you celebrate Small Business Saturday with your customers, clients, and followers!

Owning a small business is a huge accomplishment, so don’t forget to take time to celebrate how far you’ve come.

Discounts

Offering discounts may be an obvious choice but there are a few spins you can take on it. For example, you can offer a special discount that’s only available to previous customers. Or, you can turn it into a fun game that’ll drive engagement and offer entertainment for your followers – it’s a win-win! There’s also bundle deals like buy one, get one half off.

Free Gift

You can include a freebie with every purchase to get your customers excited about shopping with you. The gift can be as small and simple as a sticker or branded stationary. Try to choose a product, service add-on, or a piece of merch that helps promote your business and is also something your customers will find useful.

Donate

If there’s a charity that’s important to you and your customers, consider donating a portion of your sales for Small Business Saturday! Giving to an important cause is a great way to spread those feel-good vibes.

Offer Something New

Maybe you have a product or service that will only be available on Small Business Saturday, or maybe you want to launch a new product, service, or collection on that day instead. Either way, it’s a great time to promote something new.

Tell Your Story

As a small business, it’s not always possible to offer discounts or give away items for free. That’s okay! Instead, celebrate by telling your story. New followers can get to know you, and it’ll be a refresher for past customers so they can be reminded of your history, your expertise, and who you are. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know your customers and see if you have anything in common with them!
