As a business owner, you’re constantly creating new pieces of content in hopes of connecting with your current audience and gaining new followers. But, what happens when your post falls flat and you find yourself thinking, “What the heck do I post next?”
Don’t worry! We’ve all had times when our posts don’t get the attention they deserve. That’s why I’ve created this quick guide to help you create content that encourages your audience to get involved with your business.
The following 4 content categories will help you generate a more engaged audience on Instagram. You’ll start seeing likes, follows, comments, and shares rolling in!
Educational content teaches your audience something new about themselves or their business. This is the best way to get your audience to hit Save or start following you so they can come back to your account later. And, by posting helpful content you solidify your role as an expert in the industry. It’s a win-win.
Content doesn’t always have to be serious, in fact, I encourage you to get real with your audience by showing your personality and your interests. When something resonates with your audience, they’ll be more likely to leave a comment. The more you share, the more it opens you up to creating genuine relationships and friendships with those that follow you.
Inspirational content can be as simple as posting a famous quote or a personal story. This kind of content motivates your audience to achieve their goals which is pretty special. Get creative and you’ll see that your audience will share your inspirational posts to their Stories, which, in turn, gets new eyes on your content.
Showcase…yourself! Don’t underestimate the power of posting a photo of yourself. We connect the most with other human beings, not just pretty graphics. When your followers recognize you and the content you post, they’ll want to connect with you by leaving a comment or sending a DM. Need photos of yourself to post on social media? When you mix these 4 categories of content together, you’ll create a well-rounded social media feed that your audience will be happy to follow!
