I got to photograph Alex and Cori’s surprise proposal and it was so special! I have had the honor of capturing these two love bugs twice and when Alex reached out to plan this special session, I was so dang excited!! Alex and I worked together to trick Cori into scheduling her own engagement session and she didn’t even know it 😉

I posted on Instagram looking for a couple to model and crossed my fingers that Cori would reach out and volunteer (which she did!). The weather report looked a little “iffy” leading up to the shoot and Cori actually reached out a few times asking if we should reschedule–little did she know there was no way we were rescheduling! The rainy vibes were so romantic and made for the perfect night to get engaged.

We started by capturing their love in a beautiful golden field in Barneveld, Wisconsin. Their fall outfits matched the scenery perfectly and it created such a cozy feeling in every photo.

Then, Alex got down on one knee and popped the question. Cori was so genuinely surpised. You could feel the love and excitement in the air!

We took engagement photos before heading to Cori’s parents’ home where family and friends were waiting to congratulate them.

It was such a special day and I felt honored to be a part of it.
